Singapore Press Freedom

News November 2nd, 2006 @ 1709h

I’ve always been skeptical about how Reporters Without Borders rank Singapore in terms of press freedom, thinking that it was necessary to do so. I was proven wrong.

Remember the Mr Brown incident? And here comes another: The Real Picture behind Today’s personnel changes.

A Google search of the Vel Chua incident led me to this.

The problem here is not just about the reporting freedom; there is also a very obvious problem of elitism. For the first time, I was brought out into the reality of things. I am at a loss of words.
