Live to eat or eat to live?

General July 13th, 2005 @ 0027h

Well, for my case, it’s “eat to live”. I don’t really look forward to meals and don’t really go around looking for good food, though when I am hungry, I still prefer some good food. So this makes me an eat-to-live to a large extent ^^

My PC never fails to amaze me – with this speed:

Zenden’s blog..

General July 10th, 2005 @ 1925h

… is gone. Well, so ends CS’s blog and I am potentially the only one left in class with a blog or who is bothering to blog every now and then. And the stupid trackbacks are still not working. DAMN, I need a unserialize workaround.

For those of you who miss CS’s tagboard, it’s still here though it makes no sense to tag there now isn’t it?

It was SO HOT then it RAINED and it stopped after less than 1 hour.

Anyway, I thnk I am going to finish the trackback thing sometime next week and then work on lj-cut kind of thing. BUT the trackback is not going to work here as long as the server stays at this version of PHP!

EDIT: As you can see, it works now. It was due to a bug with PHP that is also present in the newest version ^^;;

Jogathon

General July 10th, 2005 @ 1924h

Seriously, I don‘t see how we can get more funds just by asking 1600+ people run. There was a really terrible traffic jam this morning around carpark E2.

4.8 km is as expected pretty tiring even though I am slacking most of them time. We started off as a group and ended off as a group. There were Royce, Kelvin, Chang Sheng, Her Han Wei Chee and me. Well, our only goal was to win a *certain someone* and we did ^^ When he was strolling, we will stroll behind and when he runs, we will sprint after him and overtake him. In the end we sprinted all the way till the end and Tweety Bird was taking photos of our legs!?

Zann got the first for the upper sec girls and there were some others but I can’t remember. For the boys, Gerald got 13. In the end, our class got the unexpected 4th for the best class in uppper sec boys.

Anyway, I have finally gotten to work on ym blog, and here’s the new features:
Trackback is now avaliable! But I can’t ping others yet.. :D And you might notice that the SQL queries numbers you see at the bottom are much much smaller.

EDIT: For some really stupid reasons, unserialize() isn’t working here so you can’t see anything until the server decides to work.

So here’s a screenshot of the ones that work:

I came across a very interesting article that is seemingly talking about the possibilities of singapore hosting the 2016 games when it is criticising the government. A good read!

Busou Renkin Volume 7 High Resolution Scan

General July 8th, 2005 @ 0029h

Well, sorry for spamming the LJ community but I have finally gotten my copy of volume 7 and here’s the high resolution scan of the cover since I have not really seen it anywhere else.

Scanned at 300 DPI, please do not hotlink. For the livejournal entry, the picture thumbnails will lead you to the post on my blog because of hotlinking protection.

And this is true lol-age XD

射马先射人…

General July 7th, 2005 @ 2355h

I forgot to write this yesterday but the great Heng Yu wrote this in his Chinese test:

射马先射人, 射人后射马…

LOL! This is the best.

News-wise:
Well I’m sure many of you will know that London successfully got the bid fot 2012 summer Olympics and right after that, they get bombed!

Damn these terrorists, can’t they just leave us in peace… This seemed too coincidential to be true, could it be that it has been planned long ago?

A Song of Storm and Fire

General July 7th, 2005 @ 0156h

Wow, I am in love with this song :D It’s from Tsubasa OST I. It’s a beautiful piece of music with nice vocals. Anyone who wants it can ask me for it :D

Anyway the Chinese test today is a killer. No Hope.

Maths too. The paper was freakish, ok not that bad, difficult. I did not manage to finish 2.5 marks worth of part question. Well, I think I can at least get a 30?! I hope so.

Dunmanian Idol and one hot Saturday Afternoon

General July 2nd, 2005 @ 1908h

Damn, here I am sweating and swearing as I did the maths assignments. It is SOOO ANNOYING to do transformation and Locii assignments! So damn tedious. This one single assignment 6 took me more than 1 hour.

Yesterday there was this Dunmanian Idol and well most of them sung quite well. The first person to get my attention was #4 with her song by Stef Sun (forgot the name) and then #6 with the song from Stef Sun (神奇). It was then I decided that one of them will be the one I vote and in the end #7 came out and amazed us all with his 安静 by 周杰伦. And now I was stuck among #4 #6 and #7 and in the end I voted for #7 and he won ^^

And come to think of it, it seems like the amount of advertisement you put is inversly proportional to the position you will get. #3 has the most advertisement and IMO, I think that was the worst flop and #7 had the least advertisement (well, he did have some, a BIG poster ini the hall) and he won.

The statistics department aka Yvonne says that 4K had 100% vote for #5 and 4H had 100% vote for #6. Expected ^^ Well our glass voted mainly for #7 and I think #3 didn’t get any?

Now, will anyone tell me why I can’t get the answer for that integration WS question 11(ii)?
