Below is a long rant of mine. Not bad, I have 3 entries today. If you do not care, then don’t read.

Since the government has already announced about the building of the casion, I see no point in arguing the disadvantages since I am mostly against it.

The measures suggested by the guy who is behind bars for 40 years might work but I think some of them should not be imposed.

For example, I don’t think such high entrance fees should be imposed on singaporeans. Instead, I think a “membership” system should be set up. When signing up, one must produce their financial statement to ensure that they are financially stable. Every bet, resulting in either a win or loss, should be recorded. When the patron has no money left to pay for his betting, the casion operators should then stop him immediately and prevent him from betting any further. Loans should also be provided by the casion to reduce any possibilities of “Da er Longs” or “loansharks”.

Why you ask? If we were to have such high entrance fess, Singaporeans will just go to other places to gamble, so what’s the whole point of building a casion to generate more revenues?

The many extra stuff enjoyed by tourists are really making us second class if the government takes that guy’s suggestions (sorry, I can’t remember his name so I will be referring to him as “the guy”). People will be laughing at us.

As you can see from Google’s news, this debate is widely reported world wide. Thus, I believe that the opening of casion will definitely bring us more revenues and at the same time generate more jobs. But I am still worried by the problems it might bring. As I have said, it is no use saying that now.

Good or bad, it will have to depend on the government’s choices. I don’t want to see Singapore become a second Macu where you can find casinos everywhere. And let’s face it – if the government did not want to open a casion, why would they have even started out this debate by saying they “might” build it? What I am trying to say is that the news is not shocking, indeed I have half-expected it though the other half is hoping that the casino will not be opened.

Now I wonder why I did not write this in that essay for chinese. =/

Got back chinese test, 41/100, no surprise. But I am surprised I got 10/30 for Zao Ju even though I was quite sure I was getting 0.

Some Chinese Opera group came during assembly for performance. Well, ti was cool looking at them do all the fighting and Ngee Yong laughs TERRIBLY.

Geog test, don’t feel like studying.

Woke up at 7.30 am – RECORD early for a sunday XD

Then Yvonne came and left her Pc for repais, havne’t touched it yet. Later perhaps.

Went swimming with Daniel and Her Han, anyone wanting to come along is welcomed I suck at swimming, though my stamina today was much better than last week cos I could swim a one lap without dying. I could not even finish one lap last week, so you can see how much stamina I had lost.

Sunburn from yesterday, not so bad la.. After swimming they came to my house do project. Well, supposed to, but in the end we just watched lots of anim?…

Let me start off with today. CCA the whole day. There’s this freaking B**** that i really cannot stand. I just have to say that I am in control of my life, I am not obliged to listen to your barking telling me what to do as if you are my master.

Was sunburnt. But anyway, I was returning some cash to xun yong and found out I had exactly $15.10 left. As I made my way to Kallang MRT, I had this “feeling” of going to Kinokuniya. So I went and I found Newtype May issue sitting there I went to ask for the price and apparently, it was exactly $15.10 after 10% discount. Well, isn’t that fate eh?

And as I made my way to the bus stop, the bus came and I hopped onto it…

If I am not lucky, what is?
